art McClures Beach is along Marin's Coast in Northern California.
I've never been there when it was crowded.
I probably go at the wrong time of the year.
For some reason I tend to avoid the beaches
in the summer when most people go to the
beach.

Quiet Beach

While walking on a wild beach alone
I was delighted to see a small and shinning stone
Thus into my pocket went a piece of the universe
A small fragment of something so grand and so diverse
Its colors didnít match the cliffs nearby
I wondered if it could have fallen from the sky
Wandering along and among the debris of the nightís high tide
The ingredients of the ocean soup can hardly be denied
I smell the oceanís stew with its heartily salted air
And the pounding surf has captured me in mesmerizing stare!
