Christmas Thoughts - 2007

You hear “White Christmas” everywhere
It is an old favorite and a familiar tune
When you hear it, you know Christmas will be here soon
You can tell also by the crispness in the air
Now to go home, and wrap the presents there

As I climb into my warm bed
Visions of packages fill my head
I think I bought a present for everyone
So for now the shopping is done
Making my list, I listened to what they said

I wonder if they’ll like the presents I got
I wonder if they will like them a little or a lot
It is too late now the presents are all wrapped
And my funds are completely tapped
I truly hope they like what I bought

I wonder too, what I’ll get
I hope no one will forget
Like all the other boys
I really like nifty toys
Particular those that make some noise

I like my presents wrapped with care
Opening them myself, I prefer not to share
I don’t suppose I am unusual in that way
It is something we all think but hardly ever say
Mostly I am looking to be with my family that day
