art Old Cottages in Ireland litter the countryside. Symbols of another time. This one was said to have been over 300 years old
Music: The Old Rambler

Old Cottage

This Cottage was very old
Over three hundred years we were told
All these years it has been strong and bold
It wasn't abandoned and will never be sold
Nor will it ever be forgotten

With the wind and rains
Will come the loosening of the panes
With the softening of the grout
The panes will fall out
Over time parts will become rotten

Keep alive the stories of your own
Or eventually they will be unknown
In these walls there were families snug and dry
Time has already passed it by
No further children from within will be begotten
