Do Not Climb That Tree

How foolish can I be?
At my age I climbed a tree
It needed a trim you see
I fell and hurt my knee
From ten feet in the air
A moment later, thump you’re there
My chances were fair to slim
Gradually I moved each limb
Not a good idea,
If you are as old as me
My Doctor said
If you’d hit your head
It would not matter about your knee
You would not be here with me
I hope that being sore
Will remind you you’re not a kid any more
I hope it is plain to see
At your age,
You were as foolish as you can be?
