Clifden from the Quay is a perfect place to dine and view the town. The town is full of activity and one year we watched the Connemara pony show there; beautiful horses in a beautiful setting. There is much to do in the immediate area and the nearby surroundings.

This view of Clifden is fair
See the steeples thrust into the air
One gray one white
Both lit up at night
Silt has filled an ancient bay
Some time in the future it will turn to clay
It is now a tourist town
Hardly noticed is Alcott and Brown
The market square is warmed by the setting sun
A great place to sip a beer when the day is done
