Isle of Innisfree was inspired by a trip along the banks of Lough Gil to the view of Innisfree, a small island immortalized by W. B. Yeats. It is a serene spot filled with emotion for those that understand its true significance to Ireland. Isle of InnisfreeOne of the Irish greats, W.B. YeatsWrote of the Isle of Innisfree It's a magical place, which everyone should see When seen by me, the horizon clouds roiled black No wind ruffled the waters; they were smooth and slack Located a short distance off the shore Trees, a small rocky beach and not much more You can reach the island rowed in a boat Much like a castle with a moat It shall be free forever more |
