Matador in MadridWe came by plane To the city of Madrid Near the middle of Spain And very happy we did We went to the Plaza de Toros To watch the Toreros Banderillero followed the Picador Finally the Matador When the Matador does well you can hear The crowds give an appreciative cheer Ole! Ole! Causes chills to run up your spine The Traje de luces (Suit of Lights) glistens in the bright sunshine The Matador and Toro begin the fateful dance The brave Toro has a very good chance Sometimes the Toro even wins Too soon the ancient pageant ends If it was a very good fight The crowd will wave their hankies white But if you hear the cheers The Matador gets no ears |
