The DanceIn an extremely dangerous dance the Banderillero makes running passes at the Toro inserting barbed wooden decorated sticks into the bull’s neck muscle to weaken the animal. If this is not done with grace and dexterity and in an efficient manner the crowd lets their feelings be known. As a general comment the crowd seems to favor the bull at the onset to be won over by a great performance of the Matador or occasionally a poor performance by a bull. One bull was so casual, without the slightest interest in caring out his end of the performance that he was enticed to leave the ring by flooding it with other cows or bulls I couldn't tell. but they were almost all white as opposed to the Toro which is black. |
